In this session you will investigate the conceptual teaching of addition and subtraction
of fractions. We will explore how and when to use common multiples and find and use
the greatest common factor. Additionally, we will be linking hands-on manipulatives
to addition and subtraction algorithms. We will utilize the CCSS Progression
Documents to model how to teach the beginnings of fractions through the algorithms.
