Teaching Fractions through Ratio Reasoning, grades 3-6, part A

These three sessions will focus on ordering, comparing, adding, and subtracting fractions with ratio reasoning. Our work will build answers to “How can I use ratio reasoning to deepen understanding of part/whole fractions?”, “What is the multiplicative relationship between numerator and denominator?” and “What are more sensible algorithms for adding and subtracting ‘fractions’?”.
